Notes from Boracay: the Sun’s Up!

On our last full day in Boracay, the sun came out bright and strong. We started the day right at Real Coffee.

at Real Coffee

Yum yum yum!

There we bumped into Neil, Peter, and Yamil from Scuba World, a dive shop on Station One. They offered us a great deal on kayaks, so after spending an hour or so just swimming we decided to take some kayaks up to Friday’s Resort on the northern tip of White Beach.

I’m paddling, I’m paddling!

We landed on the shore of Friday’s and rolled around on the powder-fine sand. Boracay’s sand all along White Beach may be the best in the world, but at Friday’s the sand is extra special.

We spent the rest of the day just on the beach. The sky was cloudless, and we realized this would be the first and last sunset we’d see on this particular trip to Boracay.

It was the perfect end to our vacation in Boracay. I didn’t buy any souvenirs, but I did get a tan.

Lift off!

‘Til next time!

Thanks! I hope the tan sticks around though. People have been saying I look lighter already. πŸ™

Hi Nicole, thanks for the question! Every body has different needs and will react in different ways to diet and exercise. Is one the type of person who quickly puts on weight but just as quickly loses it? Or does the weight build up slowly but it takes eons to shave off a single pound? My personal experience has been a long road battling being overweight through a sensible diet and regular exercise (at least one hour a day, five days a week). Back when I had a lot of weight to lose, I went low-carb, but these days because of my regular activity teaching Jam and Balance I can be a little more lax on the diet. I do still avoid sugar and empty carbohydrates though.

I’ll soon have Jam classes in Eastwood City and Fairview. I’ll post an update here when they’re confirmed, but most probably in May.The most important thing in weight loss is that you must expend more calories than you take in. πŸ™‚ Whether that’s by eating less or boosting your metabolism so you burn more, that’s up to you.

Hey Noelle,I think I spotted you on a C/S event being aired right now. Not sure. But I thought that the facts that: it looks like you and then the girl was also wearing a white bikini top like your pics here and the event was also in Boracay made me think it was you. Hihi… Convoluted ba? πŸ˜‰

Hi Lorna, if the girl was twirling zips under some coconut trees, that must have been me. πŸ™‚
